Carries the fat-metabolism region of growth hormone, its C-terminal tail, without the parts that drive growth or bind the GH receptor.

Research dose range
Standard research range
300 - 400 mcg
The 300mcg-class daily dose at the heart of most community fat-metabolism protocols.
Research focus
Lipolysis / fat metabolism
Observed window
8–12 week courses
Administration
Once daily (community-reported)
Primary pathway
β3-AR / lipolysis / HSL
SC tier ranges reflect community-reported protocols; no subcutaneous human trial dose exists. Human trials used oral (0.25–30mg/day) and IV dosing, which cannot be converted to SC. Trial program: Metabolic Pharmaceuticals, 2001–2007; safety review: Stier et al., 2013. For research use only.
PROTOCOL BENEFITS
◆
Carries the fat-metabolism region of growth hormone, its C-terminal tail, without the parts that drive growth or bind the GH receptor.
◆
In animal models, it increased fat breakdown and reduced fat storage, with chronic effects tied to β3-adrenergic receptors in fat tissue.
◆
Across six human trials, it showed a placebo-like safety profile and did not raise IGF-1 or impair glucose tolerance.
SCIENCE
AOD-9604 is a modified piece of human growth hormone: amino acids 177–191, the tail end of the molecule, with an extra tyrosine at the front. Researchers at Monash University zeroed in on this region in the 1990s because it seemed to carry growth hormone's fat-metabolism effect on its own, while leaving out the growth-promoting activity and IGF-1 signaling.
It's one of the few research peptides to go through a full human trial program, and the results were mixed. A 12-week trial saw 2.8kg lost on 1mg oral versus 0.8kg on placebo, but the larger 24-week Phase 2b trial of 536 participants found no significant difference from placebo, and obesity development ended in 2007. Its safety record stayed clean throughout, which later earned it GRAS status for food use.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This is a slow, modest compound, not a dramatic one. In animals, fat-loss effects built over weeks of daily dosing, and in humans the effect on body weight was small and inconsistent. Community protocols typically run 8–12 weeks.

Available in 10mg. For research use only. Full documentation included with every order.
FAQ
They're close relatives: both are the fat-metabolism tail of growth hormone. AOD-9604 swaps the first amino acid for tyrosine, and it's the version that went through formal human trials, which gives it a much deeper safety dataset.
No. It's on the WADA Prohibited List as a growth hormone fragment, banned both in and out of competition, and USADA and the NCAA list it as well.
